About Joe ConstantyJoe is a co-founder of Tangential Consulting Shanghai Ltd. He has overseen the concept design and implementation for the company’s popular NextStep Shanghai entrepreneurial community project, LexDex.com, the former Lucky Greens Mini Golf, and Tangential Sourcing and Investment. Having worked directly with multinationals and as an independent entrepreneur Joe realizes the need for relevant and easy to use business information to make educated business decisions. Joe graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with three degrees in Economics, Political Science, and Urban Studies. NextStep was founded on March 6th, 2007 and has since grown to have thousands of members. NextStepShanghai.com is the digital extension of the NextStep community, and one more way for community members to communicate and learn from one another. On the site you will find a regularly updated blog with postings from various Shanghai professionals, the NextStep News Reader that will be RSS fed from various news agencies, and a NextStep event listings section. Too often there is a barrier to entry into any field, any industry, or any business. In the case of a burgeoning entrepreneur it is typically a lack of access to information and capital that keeps them from entering the playing field. NextStep and Tangential Consulting see an opportunity to make the life of the entrepreneur slightly less complex. NextStep provides a forum for like-minded entrepreneurs to collaborate in building new businesses and also helping one another navigate the many pitfalls of conducting business in China. As entrepreneurs, we all understand the importance of a strong support network in pursuing our successes.
