About GECKO:
Having direct contact with communities in smaller cities, we have learned that most of the people would be able to better their own living and working conditions through simple actions based on common environmental and health understanding. Our experience in the field provides us with a practical outlook on what is needed in the affected regions and how we could help balance the economic situation with better quality of life for communities.
We made a decision to contribute to positive change by launching a series of free environmental awareness programs in Chinese high schools. This is our initial effort towards integrating the environment into mainstream values. The program concept, based on hands-on projects, goes beyond traditional educational models and challenges young people to carry on the message of environmental responsibility not only to other generations at home, but also to future employers.
The Greennovate Environmental Challenge for Kids Outreach (GECKO) was created with the mission of helping kids improve their quality of life tomorrow by understanding their environmental responsibility today.
