Born in Sichuan Province, China, Sarah attended English Dept. of Beijing Foreign Studies University and later went to USA for further studies. Sarah joined House Films in 1999 in New York City and started her career behind the camera.
She has worked on many TV commericials, corporate videos and TV programs as producer and casting director. Sarah produced Quest USA, Da Tiao Zhan, the 1st Chinese reality show in the US.
Sarah speaks excellent English and Chinese Mandarin and understands both Chinese and American culture on a deep level. In addtion, her extensive contacts in the Chinese entertaiment and production community make her an asset for any projects shot in China.
After serving in Chongqing with the Peace Corps, Thalia Kwok joined the ChinaOnTV team to continue spreading awareness of today's China to the rest of the world. She leads project management and cooperation with foreign companies, organizations, and distribution networks, directs marketing efforts and SEO. She is the driving force behind creating ChinaOnTV's online presence, and expanding cost and time effective user driven content. Since joining ChinaOnTV, Thalia has worked to build company infrastructure and oversee day-to-day operations within production, editing, and tech teams, to spark company growth and raise standards of quality and efficiency.
Thalia was born in the Midwest and raised with a careful blend of traditional Chinese and middle class American suburbia values. She is an eager early adopter who has been blogging since before there was a word for it. Prior to joining ChinaOnTV.com, she created the first English-Chinese online guide to Chongqing called TheChonx.com, and developed a lesson plan and resource sharing site for TEFL and Peace Corps China volunteers.
