About Mark F. Begert

          Mr. Begert is a partner of Future Energy Assets, LP, as well as a member of the Investment Committee and Investment Manager of the Future Clean Energy Assets, LP fund.

    Recently, Mr. Begert served as Chief Financial Officer of Linktone Ltd. (Nasd: LTON), a leading wireless technology developer based in Shanghai, China from 2001 until 2005 successfully leading the company in its private financing activities, strategy decisions, major acquisitions and to its Nasdaq initial public offering in March 2004.  Mr. Begert currently serves as a director on the board of Linktone and as an independent director on the board of ChinaEdu, a leading education technology platform based in Beijing.  Mr. Begert also serves as advisor and seed investor to several young companies in China.

    From 1994 until 2000, Mr. Begert was a Vice President in the fixed income capital markets group of Merrill Lynch in New York, London and Tokyo where he served as risk manager while developing and executing trading strategies for U.S. Treasury and European Sovereign Debt including related derivative and structured products. 
    

    Mr. Begert graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a sub-concentration in international relations.
