About Steve Gergely

Steve Gergely, Ph.D., (Chinese name is: Ge Liang), has been Vice-President for Future Trends International Corporation, working as a partner for over 3 years and have worked on projects in China, Canada, USA, and Middle East.  Steve has been based in China for the last six years, speaks some Mandarin, and has a diverse background of experience. For Future Trends Corporation he formed the AME China Energy Fund which is a Foreign JV Private Equity Fund. Steve was China Country Manager for Oman based Zubair Corporation, a USD20 billion company with 65 sub companies. Past projects in China for Zubair are: working with suitable high quality 5 stars hotel Furniture manufactures, Aluminum downstream JV with Xingfa Aluminum in Guangzhou to invest in a 150 million USD JV factory in Oman free trade zone, a BOPP JV project in Oman, Zubair Automotive China agencies for heavy machinery, BYD, FAW, SHAC.   For Zubair Electric I have found Chinese lighting company NVC, CHINT bus duct manufacture, and solar panel manufactures. 



Business lines independent of Future Trends:



    * Vice President of Feiying Printing and packaging company. Invested and now 50% owner of printing company in Wenzhou that is expanding with a new factory in Shanghai. We specialize in manufacturing paper bags for retailers, packaging, brochures, clothing labels, name cards, paper cups… Our plan is to make this into a new global brand for International companies.

    * Home of Home Furniture Manufacture Agent for Zubair Furnishing doing over 2 million in business per year.

    * Professor for the University of Northern Virginia for their China executive MBA program for the courses communication management and negotiation management.



 



      Previously Steve worked mostly in the education field in Canada, China, and Taiwan. He holds a Doctorate and Masters Degree in Science, major in educational psychology from California Coast University, a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate, a Bachelor Degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Diploma in Business Management from Kwantlen College, Vancouver. Steve has lectured at various prestigious Universities in China such as:  Beijing University, Tsinghua University, FuDan University, JiaoTong University; and has given keynote speeches at various conferences.
