China tells living Buddhas to obtain permission before they reincarnate

Tibet’s living Buddhas have been banned from reincarnation without permission from China’s atheist leaders. The ban is included in new rules intended to assert Beijing’s authority over Tibet’s restive and deeply Buddhist people.
“The so-called reincarnated living Buddha without government approval is illegal and invalid,” according to the order, which comes into effect on September 1.

Did you hear that...all you living Buddhas out there, I hate to break this to you but if you're in China, you now have until August 31st to reincarnate.

So...um..does this mean I need to get government approval the next time I almost get run over by a taxi on Nanjing Lu...and tell the driver in question to go to hell? hmmm...
