Santalucía unifies its five assistance insurance brands to boost business. The company launches the Iris Global platform with 1,300 employees. It will offer coverage and services in travel, home, legal, health and funeral.

Santalucía today launched the Iris Global platform after a unification of the five brands with which it operated until now in the insurance and assistance services segment. The company, which started this project more than two years ago, kicks off this project in order to expand the business.

The platform, which will provide coverage and value propositions to clients in travel, legal protection, health, home, telephone assistance and funerals, integrates the firms Iris Asistence , Internacional SOS , Accepta , Temmpo and PCAmigo . These companies will remain as independent companies as to date, but will operate commercially with the new image.

The intention of Santalucía is to take advantage of the capacities of each firm in order to offer the best possible service thanks to the increase in capacities and the achievement of synergies. One of the pillars of the project will focus on technology, as explained by its general director, Maite Maroto. The Santalucía group has a digital transformation plan underway with an investment of 200 million to adapt to the new environment.

Iris Global, according to the figures provided, will be the umbrella for 1,300 employees throughout Spain and a network of 15,000 collaborators in the different activities . It will offer its comprehensive services to 17 million policyholders and will have the capacity to provide travel assistance in more than 140 countries. The company’s goal is to reach more agreements to cover the nearly 200 countries around the world.

Santalucía, through these companies, manages 90,000 cases of deaths each year; 10,000 from telemedical assistance and home health services; and 52,000 travel claims, among others.
